Lancaster’s Common Council is set to hold a special meeting Thursday to discuss the proposed Kwik Trip project. The council agenda includes action to group parcels of land on the city’s north-end to form a single lot for the new convenience store. Kwik Trip officials plan to buy the property where the former Grant County Jail was located. The company would purchase additional land too along Highway 61 and City Limits Road – which would be part of that single lot. The Lancaster Common Council will also consider Right of Way use agreements for storm-water facilities and a detention basin. Thursday’s meeting starts at 6:30 – information to participate virtually or via phone can be found on the city of Lancaster website, or by contacting Dave Kurihara at 723 – 7445.
