At 10:33 AM on Sunday, Green County Deputies and Blanchardville Fire responded to CTH H in York, for a motorcycle crash with injury. Investigation determined the operator of the motorcycle, 46-year-old Matthew Joy of Chicago, was traveling west on CTH H negotiating a sharp curve in the roadway when he observed an east bound truck and RV coming around the same corner. Matthew cut his turn too far inside and the bike lost traction, tipping over onto the side and immediately catching on fire. The bike then slid into a driver side tire of the RV and bounced back into the roadway. The motorcycle was a complete loss. The east bound truck hauling the RV, being operated by 65-year-old John Knicker of Blanchardville, sustained cosmetic damage to the tire and was driven from the scene.
