On Friday at 2:51PM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one vehicle rollover crash on Govier Rd., in North Lancaster. 51-year-old Michael Tillotson, of Bagley, was driving on Govier Rd., when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The vehicle went off the roadway and struck a line of round bales, causing the truck to roll and come to rest on it’s roof, on top of the round bales. Tillotson was injured in the crash and initially transported to Grant Regional Health Center by Lancaster EMS, and was then transported to UW Health in Madison by Iowa AirCare. Tillotson’s vehicle suffered heavy damage and was removed from the scene by Arrow Towing. As a result of the crash, Tillotson was cited for OWI 2nd Offense, Failure to Maintain Control, and Operating While Suspended. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Lancaster Fire, Lancaster EMS, and Arrow Towing out of Lancaster.
