Police said a man sexually assaulted a woman earlier this year in Dubuque. 26-year-old Tyler R. Schmit of East Dubuque, Ill., was arrested at 6:42 a.m. Tuesday at Dubuque Law Enforcement Center on a warrant charging third-degree sexual abuse-forcible rape and assault with intent to commit sexual abuse with injury. Court documents state that Schmit sexually assaulted a woman in January in Dubuque. The woman photographed injuries she sustained during the assault and provided the photographs to police.
