Prairie du Chien sex offender arrested after luring a child into a van

On Sunday, June 1st, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of an adult male luring a juvenile into the back of a white cargo van on County Road K in the Township of Prairie du Chien. An investigation revealed that 48-year-old Shawn Levock of Prairie du Chien, lured a 14-year-old into the back of a van with the intent of engaging in sexual acts with the juvenile. The juvenile exited the van without being physically or sexually abused.  Levock is a registered lifetime sex offender. He was arrested and he is currently being held in the Crawford County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond for a charge of child enticement.
