Darlington woman arrested for OWI in Green County

On Thursday at 9:01 PM, Green County Deputies and Monticello Fire Department responded to the intersection of Highway 69 and Gutzmer Rd in Mt Pleasant, for a vehicle on fire/smoking in the ditch.  59-year-old Sara J Anderson Mooney of Darlington, was southbound when she turned too late for Gutzmer Rd, and entered the ditch.  Anderson Mooney reported wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured.  Her vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Anderson Mooney was arrested for OWI 1st offense (alcohol).  She was cited for Prohibited Alcohol Concentration, and Failure to Maintain Control.  She was released to a responsible party pending a court appearance.
