East Dubuque’s annual fireworks show will return this year, thanks to the help of a local donor. East Dubuque Greater Events Foundation, or EDGE, recently announced plans for the Saturday, June 28, celebration. The organization previously planned to cancel the show after diverting funds to help keep the local pool open this summer. The June 28 downtown event will feature free inflatable rides for kids from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. with live music from Unicorn Fist from 7 to 10 p.m. The fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. with a patriotic playlist synced to show for those watching from Sinsinawa Avenue. Food and beverages will be available from local businesses. The Cremer’s Meat Paddle Fundraiser will run from 6 to 10 p.m.
