Holiday driving campaigns in Jo Daviess County results in 1 arrest, 15 citations

A traffic enforcement campaign in Jo Daviess County resulted in one arrest on a charge of driving under the influence and 15 traffic citations issued. The “Click It or Ticket” and “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaigns held from Nov. 21 to Dec. 2 focused on seat‑belt use, speeding infractions, distracted driving and alcohol‑ and drug‑impaired driving. According to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, the campaign also resulted in four speeding citations, five seat belt citations, and six other traffic citations.
