Gasoline prices in Iowa have seen a significant decrease, dropping 11.2 cents per gallon over the past week. Gas prices are down to an average of $2.55 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,036 stations in the state. This marks a 26.2-cent decline from a month ago and an 11.7-cent drop compared to the same time last year. GasBuddy reports that the cheapest station in Iowa was priced at $2.09 per gallon on Sunday, while the most expensive was $5.11 per gallon, a difference of $3.02. Nationally, the average price of gasoline has fallen by 5.0 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.90 per gallon today. This is 17.6 cents lower than a month ago and 7.3 cents less than a year ago. The national average for diesel has also decreased by 5.1 cents, now standing at $3.671 per gallon.
