A previously unaired confrontation involving Kanye West and the Kardashian family is coming to light nearly six years after it happened.

Longtime Keeping Up With the Kardashians producer Farnaz Farjam recalled the October 2020 incident in an account included in Jonathan Van Meter’s upcoming biography of Kim Kardashian, Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future.

The disagreement reportedly took place during a family gathering at Caitlyn Jenner’s home, as West was running for president in the 2020 U.S. election.

According to Farjam, West confronted Kris Jenner and other relatives after learning they had not voted for him. The argument reportedly lasted around 30 minutes.

Although cameras were present during the final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the confrontation was ultimately excluded from the series.

The incident occurred during a difficult period in West and Kardashian’s marriage. Kardashian filed for divorce in February 2021, and their divorce was finalized in November 2022.

The former couple shares four children.

The new biography, scheduled for release on October 27, 2026, revisits Kardashian’s personal life and public career, including previously undisclosed moments from the family’s reality television history.
