Multiple UW-Platteville students – who recently returned from China – are being monitored for a respiratory illness that’s infected more than 600 people worldwide. University officials have confirmed that they’re working with the Grant County Health Department and the Centers for Disease Control regarding the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus. The six students – who visited Wuhan, China – arrived on campus this Tuesday. UWP officials say that none of the students are exhibiting signs of the coronavirus – but are being monitored as a precautionary measure. The six students are living together in a residence hall, but they aren’t under any quarantine or isolation. The CDC has been screening for the virus at international airports. At least 18 people have died from the illness.
