The US Census Bureau said it has reached half of its recruiting goal in Wisconsin – but still needs more than 24-thousand people to apply for census taker positions throughout the state. According to the agency, census takers will be hired to work in their own communities in order to go door-to-door to collect responses from those who don’t respond to the 2020 Census online, by phone or by mail. The bureau said the job pays in the range of $17- to $24-per-hour along with flexible hours and weekly paychecks. Census recruiting events will run thru February 2nd.
