The registered sex offender wanted by the Darlington Police Department has been found and arrested. 48 year old Matthew Buman of Darlington cut off his ankle bracelet which included a GPS tracking device on Thursday and was unaccounted for. Buman was found at a local tavern only a block away from his residence at around 1:30am Friday and was immediately arrested without incident. Last July, Buman was released from prison and the Department of Corrections placed him in an apartment on Main Street in Darlington under active community supervision. Buman was believed to be in the company of another man who is wanted by the Department of Corrections, 29 year old Timothy Fitzsimons. However, Fitzsimons was not with Buman and remains at large.
