With the Grant County Sheriff’s Office now located south of Lancaster, officials have found a potential buyer for the previous jail site relatively quickly. La Crosse based convenience store chain Kwik Trip expressed interest in acquiring the property for a new facility. A public meeting is set for Wednesday (Mar 4) evening in the Lancaster Council Chambers to share details on the plan. The lot that Kwik Trip looks to redevelop is at the corner of Madison Street and City Limits Road. The company operates a store now in the downtown area near Hickory Street. The meeting Wednesday at Lancaster’s City Hall will begin at 5pm.
