Officials with the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force report a total of 5 Grant County residents have been arrested in the last month as part of a lengthy drug investigation. The first two arrested were 35-year-old Melissa Carroll and 30-year-old Brandon Loken, both of Platteville, who were arrested in early February. They both face multiple charges that include delivery of meth and possession of heroin. February 19th, Drug Task Force officers arrested 36-year-old Justin Taylor of Lancaster. He faces multiple charges related to possession of meth and possession of heroin. And two others from Platteville – Joseph and Nicholas Forbes – were both arrested last week for possession of heroin and maintaining a drug trafficking place. Authorities continue to investigate leads that help stop the distribution of narcotics in the tri-state area.
