A 33-year-old Dodgeville man is facing a federal drug charge after authorities found more than a pound of meth in his vehicle. Dubuque County Sheriff’s Deputies pulled over Tyson Wahlen in early December for speeding along Highway 151. A K-9 unit detected narcotics in the vehicle. Further investigation turned up 1.3 pounds of meth, four grams of marijuana, two smoking pipes and a digital scale. Wahlen had been charged in Iowa District Court for Dubuque County. Those state charges have been dismissed and instead he now faces federal prosecution.
