Grant County authorities are looking for more details about a semi that hit the side of a pick-up and drove off. According to a sheriff’s report, 72-year-old Lloyd Pankow of Lancaster was driving east on Highway 81 around 10am on March 12. Pankow was in the slow moving lane going up Ellenboro hill when a semi started to pass him on the left. The semi drifted into Pankow’s lane, hitting the driver side of his pick-up. Pankow was able to safely pull his truck to the side of the road and inspect the damage – he was not hurt in the incident. The semi continued driving without stopping. Officials were unable to locate the semi and they do not know the color of the cab. However, the trailer was described as a metal trailer used to haul corn. Anyone with information on this hit and run should contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
