The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is making changes to help stop the spread of COVID-19 within the Community Services Building. Sheriff Nate Dreckman says these changes are to aid with ensuring the safety of inmates and employees. He says if you call the Communications Center requesting assistance from law enforcement, fire or EMS, be patient as dispatchers will ask additional screening questions to assist in the response to your situation. This better helps EMS prepare a response to the scene. The Grant County Jail will make changes in operations to reduce the potential for exposure to COVID-19. The report says officials are suspending public visitation at the Community Services Building. The situation will be re-assessed at the end of this month.
