A Blanchardville woman has been cited after falling asleep and crashing the vehicle she as driving. Lafayette County authorities say 21-year-old Whitney Hustad was driving on County Highway F in Fayette Township when she fell asleep at the wheel. A sheriff’s office report says Hustad’s vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch. The vehicle, owned by a woman from New Glarus, received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Officials say Hustad has been cited with failure to have control of a vehicle and for failing to report an accident to authorities.
