The coronavirus pandemic has delayed more events and activities in southwest Wisconsin. The Prairie Villa Rendezvous – normally held on Father’s Day weekend in Prairie du Chien – is being moved back three months. The historical re-enactment event will now be held September 17th thru 20th on St Feriole Island. The Rendezvous draws thousands to the Prairie du Chien area each summer. Organizers would rather delay the event than have to cancel it like they did last year due to flooding.
Also, officials at the Fennimore Doll and Toy Museum have announced they’ll be delaying their opening. The museum and gift shop typically opens for the season over Memorial Day weekend. However, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the site is remaining closed to keep both visitors and volunteers protected. More details are available at the Fennimore Doll and Toy Museum’s Facebook page.
