Although the state-level Safer at Home order has been lifted following a Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling, county governments are still allowed to put other restrictions in place. As of now, Grant County and its four neighboring counties in Wisconsin have not issued any other limits. But, officials in Grant, Crawford, Richland, Iowa and Lafayette Counties are encouraging people to adhere to safety and social distancing guidelines recommended by the state. Officials in all five southwestern Wisconsin counties say if residents and businesses do not cooperate voluntarily, then local officials may have to issue enforceable orders.
