The Lancaster Common Council has decided to cancel the city’s summer recreation programs. During a special meeting Wednesday, city officials discussed COVID-19 guidelines for having the programs. Grant County Health Department Director Jeff Kindrai noted safety concerns he has based on information available. At the same meeting, the Lancaster Common Council decided to table any action on opening the pool until their June 15th meeting. The pool may be open for lap swimming, if the council passes a plan next month.
