School officials at Southwest Tech say they’ve completed phase one of the college’s return to work plan and that they’re on pace for in-person instruction this fall. In compliance with Governor Tony Evers ordering the closure of all non-essential business, Southwest Tech transitioned to an online format in March. Since that time, the college’s Emergency Operations Team worked on a multi-scenario plan for reopening the campus. The team shared its Returning to Work Guidelines and Policies with faculty, staff and the public last week. The plan includes guidelines for a three-phase return to campus, safety protocols including Personal Protective Equipment, plus instructional safety protocols and personal safety. Southwest Tech’s Returning to Work Guidelines and Policies is available on the college’s COVID-19 updates webpage.
