Night on the Square Postponed

Just days after learning that the Grant County Fair has been cancelled, another summer event in Lancaster might be next. The Lancaster Area Chamber of Commerce Board has decided to postpone the Night on the Square. The downtown community gathering was scheduled for July 16, but has been put on hold for now. In a post on the Lancaster Chamber’s Facebook page, officials said the move came at the recommendation of the Grant County Health Department. The health agency feels it’s not safe to hold such a large event at this time. Lancaster Chamber Director Heather Bontreger said it is possible that the Night on the Square could still be held later this year.
