A shortened and modified Dubuque County Fair will take place from July 30th through August 2nd. The fair board made the announcement on Wednesday, saying some parts of the fair will look different than in years past. Officials said most of the grounds entertainment has been postponed to next year – such as the midway, roaming acts and some competitions. Also postponed are both of the mainstage concerts, but the Dubuque County Fair plans to have bands in the Festival Garden. Entertainment the fair board says will happen includes – Thursday’s Sprint Invaders and Open Wheel Races … Friday’s Demolition Derby … Saturday’s Fantasy Truck Pull along with the ECIPA Truck and Tractor Pull … as well as Sunday’s Julien Dubuque Classic Races. More details and an updated schedule will be posted at D-B-Q-Fair-dot-com.
