Two people were ejected and seriously injured as a third suffered minor injuries during a one-vehicle crash in Richland County on Tuesday. The Richland County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a crash on Highway 14 just east of Bohmann Drive in Richland Center. Deputies found two women – 25-year-old Kayla Warn and 28-year-old Deanna Geddes, both of Janesville – had been ejected from the vehicle. A 29-year-old Beloit man, Scott Chroninger, was also involved in the crash. Emergency aid was provided to the injured parties until Richland and Baraboo EMS arrived on scene. The sheriff’s office said the vehicle was headed west on Highway 14 when it left the road, striking a light pole and rolling over. Officials believe speed and intoxication were factors in the wreck. Both women were taken to UW Hospital in Madison for their injuries. Chroninger was treated & released from the Richland Hospital. Charges against Warn for 2nd-offense operating while intoxicated and knowingly operating while revoked have been referred to the DA.
