A 37-year-old man in North Freedom in Sauk County was critically wounded after forcing his way inside his family home and opening fire. The man’s name hasn’t been released. The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was called at about 3:45 a-m Monday by a person saying someone was shooting at their home. When deputies arrived, they found the man on the ground with several gunshot wounds. His parents say they shot him when he stopped his assault to reload his weapon. They weren’t wounded.
