State health officials are asking Wisconsinites not to travel for the 4th of July holiday weekend. The state Department of Health Services says 20 percent of all the COVID-19 cases have occurred over the past 5 weeks -since Memorial Day weekend – when no statewide travel restrictions were in place. The DHS says that many of the new cases involve people under the age 30 who visited bars and establishments where social distancing is difficult to maintain.
