One of Platteville’s biggest community events of the year won’t be held in 2020. According to a social media post, the Platteville Dairy Days Committee has decided to cancel the celebration. A post on the group’s Facebook page says the move was made with the health and well-being of attendees in mind. The committee added that they held off making a decision as long as possible, in hopes the COVID-19 outlook would have improved. Platteville Dairy Days – held annually the weekend following Labor Day – is scheduled to begin in 2021 on September 10th.
