The Platteville School Board is holding a special meeting tonight to go over a proposal that ties in-person instruction to local COVID-19 risk levels. In a notice sent to parents, district officials summarized the plans – including students having the option to receive all virtual instruction. Those choosing in-person will be at school based on local health data. If the district is in a high risk category – students will get 2 days of in-person and 3 days of virtual instruction per week. If the district is in a medium risk category – students will get 4 days of in-person and 1 of virtual instruction per week. And, if a low risk – students will go 5 days a week in-person. The Platteville School Board is also considering starting classes a day earlier on August 31st. The meeting starts at 6p tonight in the Middle School. The meeting is available via Zoom too. You’re asked to contact Lynne Tanner at the district office to receive a meeting link.
