The Grant County Health Department announced that COVID-19 testing is being offered Friday, August 21, at the Hazel Green Recreation Park. The site will be open from 10am – 5:30pm. Those wishing to be tested should follow signs when they arrive at the park’s entrance along Highway 80 and Recreation Drive in Hazel Green. Tests are free of charge and involve swabbing a nasal sample. Participants do not need to be a resident of Grant County to be tested. People 5 years of age and older can get tested at this site. However, those ages 5 – 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No appointments are necessary – each testing site is first-come, first-served. Those wishing to be tested are reminded they may have to wait in line. If severe weather occurs, testing may be halted.
