The La Crosse man, who held a woman hostage at a Boscobel home earlier this year, has been sentenced to 6 years in prison and 4 years of extended supervision. Court records show 32-year-old Bryant Matti made a plea deal in Grant County Circuit Court. He pled guilty to felony counts of burglary and 2nd-degree reckless injury. Matti had three other felony charges dismissed – including false imprisonment, possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal damage to property. Boscobel Police say Matti had barricaded himself and a 20-year-old woman inside an Elm Street home the morning of January 17. A stand-off continued for several hours without a resolution reached by negotiators. Authorities heard gunshots inside the home and made their way into the residence. Matti was taken into custody at that time, and police found the woman had been shot in the leg with a non-life-threatening injury.
