Body Found Near Port of Dubuque Believed To Be Missing Platteville Man

Dubuque authorities say they believe that a body recovered from the Mississippi River early Tuesday is Taylor White. The 31-year-old White, of Platteville, reportedly dove into the river from a boat around 6:30 Saturday night and did not resurface. Multiple agencies helped with a search for White on Sunday and Monday. Dubuque Police said they got a call about 7am Tuesday after a citizen found a body on the shore near the Port of Dubuque Marina. Authorities are sending the body to the Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office to verify the person’s identity. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
