A man from Lafayette County was uninjured after striking a utility pole with his vehicle in the Town of New Glarus Thursday shortly before 5am. Deputies with the Green County Sheriff’s Department along with the New Glarus Fire Department and New Glarus EMS responded to Highway 39 where 44 year old Bradley Thompson of Blanchardville crashed his car into a utility pole after falling asleep at the wheel. Thompson left the scene and was later located. He reported no injuries. His vehicle had moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Thompson was cited for failure to notify law enforcement of an accident and failure to maintain control of his vehicle. He was released pending court.
