Scales Mound Man Injured After Hitting Deer With Motorcycle

A man from Scales Mound was injured after he struck a deer with his motorcycle in Jo Daviess County Sunday afternoon. The accident happened on West Council Hill Road around 2:45pm Sunday. 69 year old Dennis Werner was traveling on West Council Hill Road, when a deer ran out in front of him. Werner tried to avoid hitting the deer, but his motorcycle overturned after he struck the deer. Werner was transported to an area hospital and was treated for his injuries.
