A Lafayette County school district will be closed Friday after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. The Argyle School District will not have any in-person or virtual instruction September 18. School officials say no students were exposed to the staff member who tested positive. However, Argyle administrators are working to determine if other employees may have been exposed due to contact with that staff member. In a letter to parents, the district said it’s working with the Lafayette County Health Department on a reopening plan for next week.
