Municipalities across the US have been celebrating Public Power week – which continues through October 10th. The national event is organized by the American Public Power Association. They represent the not-for-profit, community-owned utilities serving 2-thousand towns and cities nationwide. For the past 15 years, Fennimore Municipal Utilities have hosted some type of celebration during this week of recognition. This year, due to COVID-19, the Fennimore Utility Staff are giving customers a chance to win a credit on their utility bill. They’re asking you to simply ‘like’ the City of Fennimore Facebook page. There are more details about Public Power week on the city’s website – Fennimore-dot-com.
