Two people from northwest Illinois are facing drug charges after police executed a search warrant in Hanover on Wednesday. According to a Jo Daviess County sheriff’s report, officials searched a home on Wapello Street. After an investigation, deputies arrested 38-year-old Shannon Bertucci – who lives at the home – on charges of possession of meth, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of hypodermic needles and 2 counts of endangering the health of a child. Also arrested Wednesday in connection to this case was 21-year-old Gavin Carter. He is facing charges of possession of meth and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia as well. Sheriff’s deputies say the incident is still under investigation and more charges are possible.
