Lafayette County Man To Serve Prison Time For Possession of Porn

A man from Darlington has been sentenced to six years in prison for possession of child pornography and forgery. 57 year old Juan Velazquez-Lopez was arrested in December on 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He pleaded guilty in Lafayette County Circuit Court to three counts of possession of child pornography and one count of forgery. The remaining counts were dismissed as part of a plea deal. Authorities executed a search warrant on December 30th at a residence on Keep Street in Darlington following an investigation into the possession and distribution of child porn from that location. Velazquez-Lopez was arrested in which the Wisconsin Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and FBI assisted with the investigation. Velazquez-Lopez must serve three years of extended supervision after his prison term.
