Vehicle Hits Telephone Pole In Lafayette County

A deputy with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s department responded to an accident on Buncombe Road in Benton Township Saturday around 2am. 41 year old Scott Roberts of Benton was traveling on Buncombe Road when he lost control of his vehicle causing it to go off the road and strike a telephone pole. Robert’s vehicle had moderate damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. Benton First Response, the Benton Fire Department and Alliant Energy assisted at the scene.
