A Potosi man has minor injuries after he swerved to miss a deer and hit a tree about a mile and a half east of Stitzer. According to a report from the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, 44-year-old Allen Berntgen was driving east on Grandview Road in Liberty Township around 5:45am Tuesday. Following an investigation, deputies say Berntgen lost control of his vehicle while avoiding the deer. That caused his vehicle to go over an embankment and strike a tree. Berntgen was taken to Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster for treatment of minor injuries.
