Two Vehicle Crash in Belmont, No Injuries

A two-vehicle accident occurred Friday afternoon shortly after 2pm on County Highway Double-X  in Belmont Township. According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s department, 66 year old Theresa Hartman of Belmont was traveling on County Highway Double-X when she lost control of her vehicle causing it to cross into the opposite lane of traffic striking another vehicle driven by 50 year old Terrance Cox of Shullsburg. Both vehicles had moderate damage and were towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. Belmont Fire, Southwest Health EMS and the Platteville Police Department assisted at the scene.
