The superintendent of the Scales Mound school district, Bill Caron, has announced that he will retire at the end of the school year. Caron has served as the superintendent at Scales Mound since July 2015. Caron was the principal at Lemont, Illinois Middle School when he was hired to become superintendent at Scales Mound. He previously had served as a high school dean of students and junior high school principal and assistant principal in three other Illinois school districts outside of Chicago.
