Two People From Lafayette County In Two Vehicle Accident

Two people from Lafayette County suffered non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Green County Tuesday. At around 11am, deputies with the Green County Sheriff’s department, Green County EMS, and the Monroe Rural Fire Department, responded to the intersection of Highway 81 and County Highway N in the Town of Monroe for a report of a two vehicle crash.  An investigation revealed that 87 year old Johann Bayer of Argyle was traveling north on County Highway N approaching the intersection with Highway  81. Bayer stopped at the stop sign, then entered the intersection, where her vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by 58 year old Lonnie Krebs of Blanchardville. Both vehicles had severe damage and were towed from the scene. Bayer was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way from a Stop Sign.
