Yesterday WGLR News Director Mark Evenstad was playing golf in Arizona while on vacation when tragedy struck…for a BIRD that is…He was teeing off at the Ahwatukee Country Club in Phoenix, when WHACK he smashed a drive that would have made Tiger Woods proud…until…it hit…a BIRD, in flight! That’s right, Shark pulled a Randy Johnson…(which coincidentally happened 20 years ago TODAY) felling the fowl with one stroke…Although we don’t call Shark the Big Unit, he’ll always be a ‘Hall of Famer’ in our books…Oh and by the way, it was the closest he came to a ‘birdie’ all day!
