The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department responded to a blockage on Highway 61 in Scott Township Thursday around 11:30am. An Iowa Army National Guard Convoy was traveling south on Highway 61. The load on one of the Convoy vehicles came loose and slid off onto the Highway. The crate that slid off the Convoy vehicle landed in the southbound lane and came to rest in the northbound lane of traffic. The Convoy Unit was eventually able to reload the crate on a vehicle and continue on. The Crawford County Highway Department, along with the Iowa Army National Guard assisted at the scene.
