A Darlington man was arrested Sunday evening after authorities say he fled from DNR officials. According to a Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies were called to County Highway G in Belmont Township around 8:15 Sunday night. The sheriff’s office report states that a DNR officer had attempted to pull over 43-year-old Matthew Ubersox of Darlington. Ubersox failed to comply with the DNR officers and later arrested by members of the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office. Ubersox was taken into custody and arrested on a charge of knowingly fleeing an officer. He was booked into the Lafayette County Jail where he remained in custody as of Monday.
