Two people from Shullsburg had to be hospitalized – including one taken by Air-Care – after a deer ran in front of their motorcycle. A Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office report shows 34-year-old Joshua Nethery and 30-year-old Ashley Nethery were traveling on Highway 23 in Darlington Township about 7:45 Friday night. Deputies say a deer ran onto the road causing Joshua to lose control of the motorcycle. Both were taken by EMS to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County – with Joshua Nethery later being transferred to UW Hospital in Madison by helicopter. An update on his condition was not available.
