Four Seek To Fill Council Seat

Members of the Platteville Common Council will choose among four candidates to fill a vacant seat. Back in May, council member Robin Cline announced she was stepping down from her post. The council decided to accept letters of interest from those who wanted to serve the remainder of Cline’s term – which ends next April. There will be an in-person event July 13th for the candidates to meet with the council. That event is open to the public and is going to be held from 6 til 7p at City Hall. The four candidates who submitted letters of interest are Dennis Cooley, Clyde Holverson, Lynne Parrott and Akshay Sukhwal. The Platteville Common Council plans to have the seat filled by the end of the month.
