A man from Platteville was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated following a two-vehicle crash around 1:30pm Wednesday on Highway 18 in Patch Grove. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, 39 year old Steven Anderson of Wauzeka was driving a semi and trailer west on Highway 18 near County P, when a vehicle in front of him was stopped in the lane of traffic to make a left hand turn into a driveway. 32 year old Chad Schissel of Platteville was following the semi and failed to stop in time to avoid hitting the semi in the rear. Schissel was arrested and cited for Operating while Intoxicated and failure to maintain control. Anderson’s semi had minor damage and was driven from the scene. Schissel’s truck had heavy front end damage was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
